Aptma sets up WTO cell

LAHORE, Nov 6: All Pakistan Textile Mills Association has established WTO cell under chairmanship of Abid Farooq at Aptma Punjab zone office, Lahore.

A reputable law firm specialized in WTO affairs has been hired to provide the various services to Aptma and its members, including development of Aptma’s vision & WTO cell, development of electronic WTO database for Aptma, regular legal advice for Aptma members through Aptma’s office on:

ATC before various forums, environmental, eco-labelling, quality standard, echo tax, blue angle, rules of origin, geographical indications, customs laws, machinery issues, joint ventures & international commercial issues, trade remedies issues, anti-dumpling, safeguard, international marketing, SAP and holding of seminars on business implications of ATC and post ATC era, trade remedy and textile trends in major of US & EC, rules of origin and geographical indications for the textile sector and compliance issues under SAP & social dumping standards.
