KARACHI, Nov 5: A housewife was found murdered in her house in Bizerta Lines, Saddar, in the morning.

Police said on Tuesday morning a water supplier knocked repeatedly at the door of the house but no one answered. He informed the landlord’s family who entered the house and found the woman, Maqsooda Bibi, aged 40, murdered in the house.

Police sent the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem. Police suspected the woman’s husband, Riaz Ahmed, to be behind the killing. The suspect is absconding.

SHOT DEAD: A young watchman was shot dead in Gulzar-i-Hijri on late Monday night.

Police said a young watchman, Haji Shahnawaz, aged 20, was shot dead by unidentified armed men outside Pioneer Homes in Gulzar-i-Hijri. The armed men came to the area probably with the intention of committing robbery, but when the watchman put up resistance to them they shot him to death.
