Hull re-elected IBSF chief


CAIRO, Oct 31: Anthony Hull, a Finland-based Englishman was re-elected as the President of International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) Thursday.

He out-voted Ex-IBSF President Manmohanjit Singh of Singapore by 25-14 during the elections at the Annual General Meeting of IBSF.

W.Y.Chin from Malaysia was elected Vice President beating his French rival Pascol Guilliaune 22-13.

Linda den-Hartog-Wiedijik and Bill Teleford of Northern Ireland were elected un-opposed Secretary and Treasurer of the federation.

AGM also accepted Pakistan’s bid to hold the World Snooker Championship in 2005 but will continue monitoring the security situation there, said beaming re-elected Anthony Hull.

He said New Zealand will stage the IBSF World 21 championship next year.

Jiangmen (China) will host the next championship. —APP
