Women resent sacking of colleague

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 31: A group of woman employees of the health department on Thursday staged a protest rally against the medical superintendent of the Bhiria Taluka Hospital and the EDO, health, for terminating a woman health supervisor.

The health supervisor, Shahnaz Ranjani, was terminated by the EDO, Yar Mohammad Shaikh, on the report of the medical superintendent, Dr Amanullah Abbasi, that she was absent on the polio day.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahnaz alleged she was terminated for not accepting what she called ill desires of the medical superintendent.

The protesting women later went to the Nazim of Bhiria taluka who assured them he would take up the matter with the authorities concerned.

MINISTER: The minister for information and media development, Nisar Memon, visited Darbelo the other day and held a meeting with the PPP’s MNA-elect, Syed Zaffar Ali Shah.
