KARACHI: Nine cars, 13 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Oct 31: Twenty-two vehicles — nine cars and 13 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, police said.

Three cars were hijacked. Six others were stolen.

Five motorcycles were hijacked. Eight others were stolen.

ROAD ACCIDENT: Reckless driving claimed two lives in the city on Thursday.

An unidentified woman died in a hit-and-run road accident in the limits of Gulzar-i-Hijri police.

Police said that the woman was run over by an unknown speeding vehicle while walking across a road. She died on the spot. The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.

After post-mortem the body has been kept in the Edhi’s morgue for identification.

A minibus conductor, Latif, died when he came under the wheels of his own bus at NIPA chowrangi. He was rushed to the JPMC where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
