PESHAWAR: Poster contest held

PESHAWAR, Oct 30: The Fine Arts Department of Peshawar University on Wednesday held a posters’ competition on the ‘Causes and Preventive Measures of Domestic Violence’.

People from all walks of life, including the university students, took keen interest in the exhibition.

In the event, organised by the two NGOs, GTZ and Paradise, a large number of posters were put on display which depicted the domestic violence in a different and interesting manner. It was evident from the exhibit that the domestic violence remains a matter of grave concern for the government and NGOs.

Later, prizes were given to the winners. Shadab Khalil secured the first prize of Rs3,000, Tehseenullah bagged the second prize of Rs2,000 while Quraatul Ain won the third prize of Rs1,000.
