Kuwaiti grant for Kareema’s sisters

By Our Correspondent

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Jabar Al Ahmad Al Sabah on Tuesday announced a grant for the five sisters of Kareema, who was kidnapped, raped and killed two weeks ago.

Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad al Khalid al Sabah, at a briefing, said the grant would cover the entire schooling expenses of the five sisters.

Sheikh Mohammad, who has paid a visit to the victim’s home, said everyone in Kuwait had been distressed by the crime. He said the culprit would be given an exemplary punishment.

Pakistan’s ambassador to Kuwait thanked the Kuwaiti authorities for promptly arresting the main accused — a Kuwaiti national.
