KARACHI: 30 vehicles hijacked in two days

KARACHI, Oct 27: As many as 30 vehicles — nine cars and 21 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in different parts of the city within the last forty-eight hours, police said.

Two cars were hijacked and eight were stolen, while fourteen motorcycles were hijacked or stolen in different localities, including Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Jauhar and Saddar.

ROBBED: A man was shot and injured by robbers in Pak Colony on Sunday.

The police said that Amjad Rehmat had came to visit someone in Hasrat Mohani Colony. On his way back he was robbed of of Rs3000 and a mobile phone.

As he tried to resist the robbers they shot him and escaped. The victim was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
