HYDERABAD, Oct 26: Two doctors of the Liaquat Medical University and Hospital here on Friday checked Syed Salman Saqib, one of the four convicts of the Daniel Pearl murder case.

This was said by the deputy superintendent of the jail, Ziaur Rehman.

He said assistant professor Shafiqur Rehman Memon and Prof Munir Junejo visited the jail hospital and examined the convict.

He said both the doctors had mentioned their opinion in the official register of the jail and had said the condition of Saqib was not critical.

Quoting the doctors, he said it was a minor infection for which medicines had been provided to him.
