ISLAMABAD, Oct 23: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday formally approved the establishment of grand wholesale meat market at G-10 Markaz.

The approval in this respect was given at the CDA board meeting, on the request of Al-Quresh Meet Sellers Association (AQMSA), Islamabad.

The authority has also approved a separate slaughterhouse for sheep and goats on the premises of CDA’s main slaughterhouse at Sihala.

The CDA will provide four kanals of land for the meat market. However, shops would be constructed by the meat sellers.

The meeting also gave approval for auctioning 40 commercial plots worth millions of rupees located at Mauve Area G-9.

It also gave approval for providing a plot to Immigration Office at G-9 area on present market rate.

The board directed the official concerned to look into the matter of agro plot leasing as lease of most of the agro plots have ended.
