DERA GHAZI KHAN, Oct 20: The election commission should provide polling station-wise results with names of the voters so that ghost voters may be distinguished.

This was stated by PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto in a fax message sent to party workers in Dera Ghazi Khan on Sunday.

She alleged the PPP had won 170 of 267 general seats, but the results were changed during the vote count. She said that voters had eight hours to cast their votes while those who rigged the vote had several days to manipulate the results.

Citing an example of rigging, she said the votes cast in Nara tehsil (Khairpur district) was shown as 90 per cent while the eyewitnesses put the turnout no more than 20 per cent.

She appreciated all political workers who were struggling for the restoration of democracy.

STAFF SHORTAGE: People are facing difficulties due to the staff shortage at the Central Audit Office in the District Accounts Office.

Sources said only 19 employees were working as against the 40 sanctioned posts at the Central Audit Office.
