KARACHI: Lighting at graveyards

KARACHI, Oct 19: On the occasion of Shab-i-Barat, the city government will ensure cleanliness and lighting in graveyards besides making special arrangements for parking on roads around and smooth flow of traffic.

The town municipal officers briefed District Coordination Officer Shafiqur Rehman Paracha on arrangements made in the light of directives of the Karachi Nazim and towns Nazims for the provision of cleanliness and lighting.

Besides the TMOs, the meeting was attended by EDO-Health Dr Nawaz Shaikh and Col Mohammed Azam of the Army Monitoring Team.

The meeting took stock of the steps that could be taken for further improving the maintenance of graveyards. Various TMOs put forth their suggestions in this regard.—APP
