KARACHI: Water supply to be suspended for two days

KARACHI, Oct 15: The KWSB has announced that water supply to some parts of the city will be suspended for 48 hours from Thursday due to repair work on a siphon at Haleeji conduit.

The localities which will be affected include Dhabeji, Gagar, Marshalling Yard, Port Qasim, Cattle Colony, Landhi, Korangi (partly), Shah Faisal Colony, Ninth Mile, PNS Mehran Karsaz, PAF Faisal and its adjoining areas, including kutcha abadis.

REDESIGNATED: The managing director of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has been redesignated as executive district officer (water and sewerage wing) by the city district government Karachi on Tuesday, adds PPI.

The KWSB was devolved to the city government on June 15 in pursuant to a decision of the Sindh cabinet.
