PESHAWAR, Oct 15: Dispelling the impression of the merger of the National Awami Party Pakistan (NAPP) and Awami National Party (ANP), NAPP central information secretary Shakir Buneri has said that neither the NAPP has merged into the ANP nor vice versa.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Shakir Buneri said Ajmal Khattak and Wali Khan meeting at Wali Bagh had only done away with the past harshness and his part wanted to formulate a new united line of action for the national democratic politics.
He said after discussing the issue with Ajmal Khattak, party’s chief, they had reached the conclusion that if for the constructive politics, the NAPP had to make an alliance with the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), it would do it.
Due to the disturbed situation in Afghanistan, he said, the region was very much important in the international politics. Therefore, he added, no stone be left unturned to bring peace to the region.—PPI
