KARACHI: Projects reviewed

KARACHI, Oct 15: The pace of development works on mega projects of Lyari Expressway, Northern Bypass, Shah Faisal Colony Flyover, FTC Flyover, 100mgd water supply (K-III) KPP-I,II, RBOD, Thar coal and Karachi Circular Railway was reviewed at a meeting on Tuesday with additional chief secretary (development) in the chair.

The meeting discussed the resettlement process of the Lyari Expressway and was informed that compensation amount of Rs35 million out of Rs300 million received from the federal government had been paid to the affectees for their rehabilitation.

The meeting was also informed that survey and demarcation of sectors 9 and 10 Hawkesbay scheme No 42 would be completed soon, while the issue of shifting of three mosques has resolved and for the remaining one negotiations were in progress.

The construction of roads also came under discussion.—APP
