KARACHI, Oct 14: Four ships carrying containers chemicals and iron ore were accommodated berths at QICT, Engro Terminal and Steel Jetty during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers, general cargo and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships were at the berths loading/unloading wheat, containers, edible oil, chemicals and iron ore. A cargo volume of 33,622 tons comprising 24,912 tons of import cargo and 8,710 tons of export tonnage, inclusive of cargo carried in 463 containers (Teus), was handled.

Orange Confidence, Comilla and Voris Ipiros sailed out, while three more ships Saudi Hofuf, Mina and Lodestar Grace were due to leave the port on Monday.

Four ships, Safmarine Victory, Kudos, New Guardian and Ievoli Shine were expected to take berths at QICT, Fotco Oil Terminal and Marginal Wharf.
