Girl killed in clash

MANSEHRA, Oct 11: A minor girl was killed and her brother was seriously injured on Thursday when the supporters of two candidates clashed over alleged bogus voting and rigging in PF-56, Mansehra-IV.

The girl and her brother were shifted to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries. The boy is in a serious condition.

The supporters of Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam) candidate for  PF-56 and an independent candidate exchanged fire over the allegations of bogus voting. Two ballot boxes were said to be missing from a polling station after the clash.

The  victim’s father, Mohammad Farid, works in the district coordination officer’s office.

Polling was discontinued for about an hour in PF-57 as the supporters of candidates clashed at a polling station.— Correspondent
