KARACHI: Reckless driving claims four lives

KARACHI, Oct 9: Reckless driving claimed four lives in the city on Wednesday.

A four-year-old boy died when he fell from a moving rickshaw in the police limits of Rizvia. Police said that Khurram was travelling, with his grandmother, in a rickshaw when he fell from the moving rickshaw. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he died.

A young man died in a hit-and-run accident in the police limits of FB Industrial Area.

Police said that the unidentified victim, who was driving a motorcycle (KAO-7807), was knocked down by an unknown vehicle near Sohrab goth which drove off after the accident.

The victim was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

A man was run over by an unidentified vehicle in Korangi. Police said that Mohammed Yousuf, aged 55, was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Siddiqi Masjid in Korangi No 2. Yousuf was rushed to the JPMC where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The vehicle escaped after the accident.

An unidentified young man died in a hit-and-run accident in Garden on late Tuesday night.

Police said that the unidentified victim, who was in his mid-20s, was run over by a speeding vehicle while walking across a road near a private hospital. He was rushed to Civil Hospital where he died.
