He called upon the international community to double its efforts for the solution of Kashmir issue.
Prof Ashraf Sarraf said Indian army had failed to conquer the hearts of Kashmiri people.
The elections, he said, were not the problem of Kashmiri people as they were writing a new chapter of freedom struggle by their blood.
He said a puppet government would once again be put in place as a result of military managed elections, which was no solution to the Kashmir issue.
Sidique Ginai in his speech said the election drama of Indian government had failed as the people of occupied territory were not ready to accept anything less than right of self- determination through a UN supervised plebiscite.
PPI adds: In Rawalpindi, a rally was held in front of the UN office to protest against the sham polls in Indian occupied Kashmir.
The rally was organized by the All Jammu and Kashmir Youth Council (JKYC), reports Kashmir Media Service.
Speaking on the occasion, the Council’s leaders said the Indian-managed election drama had totally fizzled out.
“The people of Kashmir by boycotting the fake polls have proved that they will not accept anything less than plebiscite,” the speakers said.
Paying tributes to the valiant Kashmiri people, they said despite military terrorism, and threats of reprisals, the Kashmiris did not come out of their homes to cast the votes.
Condemning the massive rigging, they said Indian authorities claimed 47% turnout whereas vote casting was less than 10% which had been acknowledged by the international and India’s own mediamen.
They demanded implementation of UN resolutions on Kashmir allowing Kashmiris to decide their future.
