QUETTA, Oct 5: Balochistan Governor Amirul Mulk Mengal has said that the government is not supporting any party or candidate in the upcoming general election in the province.

Taking to newsmen after attending a function of the IT University here on Saturday, he said that no election cell had been established at the Governor House.

“We have established no election cell anywhere,” the governor said, adding that there was no King’s Party whom the government was supporting.

Replying to a question Mr Mengal said that legally and constitutionally there was no ban on his relatives to take part in the elections. However, as for as extending support to the relatives in the elections was concerned, it was wrong, he added. “I am not supporting any of my relatives in polls.”
