ISLAMABAD, Oct 4: The PML-N candidate from NA-48, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, has said he will not withdraw his candidature in case there is an electoral alliance with any political party.

Speaking at a corner meeting in G-8/4 on Friday, Mr Shah said his party was “in touch with all democratic forces for rectification of the Constitution and the laws spoiled by the military government”.

Referring to reports of a possible withdrawal of his candidature from NA-48, he said: “All this disinformation is being projected on the behest of the government to create confusion among our voters.”

He said creation of the king’s party failed to divide the “workers of our party or our vote bank that is why it is relying on rumours of this kind”.

Later, he paid rich tributes to his party leader Mian Nawaz Sharif for “leading the country on a path to prosperity and development”.
