KARACHI: Polling arrangements

KARACHI, Oct 4: Arrangements have been completed for transportation of ballot boxes and polling material to 540 polling stations in district South.

Besides, steps are being taken for peaceful holding of polling in the district as well as providing protection to voters and polling staff.

The decisions were taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of DRO South and district and sessions judge, Agha Rafiq Ahmed.

It was decided that TMOs would make arrangements for transportation of ballot boxes to polling stations and security and transport will be provided by the police.

To facilitate the voters and polling staff, arrangements for cold drinking water, shamiana and chairs have also been made. —APP
