MARDAN, Oct 1: Nazimeen, Naib Nazimeen and councillors of the local councils condemned on Tuesday the killing of the tehsil Nazim, Haji Irsal Khan.

They also arranged a protest rally criticizing the district administration for its failure in providing security to the people.

The protest procession of the elected people started from the district council hall and reached the DIG office Abdul Latif Gandapur to handover a memorandum in connection with the murder of the Nazim.

Earlier, the councillors and Nazimeen of the district at a condolence meeting held at the district council hall passed a resolution, presented by Saddique Bacha, Halim Khan, Hamayun Khilji, Abdul Wahid Khan, Noor Gul and Manzoor Khan, condemning the murder.

The Nazimeen criticized the law-enforcement agencies and the administration saying that they had failed to provide security to the people particularly to the elected people.

COUNTRY’S GLORY: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal candidate from NA-9, Mardan 1, Maulana Shaujul Mulk, has said that the MMA would restore the lost glory of the country if voted to power in the coming elections.

Addressing election rallies here on Tuesday, he said the MMA was more concerned about the increasing obscenity in the country and his party would implement Islamic system in letter and spirit after coming to power.

The government, he said, had mortgaged the country with the IMF and the World Bank and the past rulers had looted the country ruthlessly but, he claimed, the MMA would establish a society based on justice and democratic norms.

He also alleged that the government was busy to support the ‘king’s party’ in the election, but said that the MMA would be victorious in the election and would take to task all those who siphoned off the national wealth. The MMA, he said, would fully support the Muslim brethren in Palestine, Kashmir, Afghanistan and Bosnia.
