Two shot dead

SKARDU, Sept 30: Two persons were shot dead and 11 others injured in a clash between two tribes of Shigar valley over a land dispute, sources said.

A dispute was running between the residents of Basil and Sesko villages in Arando valley, Shigar, over a pasture land for almost 45 days. The people of Sesko village used to build a bridge over the river in January to get access to the pasture. But this year, the residents of Basil tried to take control of the area. When the residents of Sesko tried to demolish the bridge, the people of Basil opened fire.—Correspondent
