KARACHI Sept 28: The Dawn Group of Newspapers is organizing a two-day conference on Oct 1-2 on economic development in Sindh.
The conference will be inaugurated and presided over by representatives from the government, private and social sectors.
Highlighting social and economic issues in Sindh, the main objective of the conference is to provide a platform for exchange of thoughts on policy matters with regard to their formulation and implementation.
The two-day conference, divided into sessions from morning till evening, will address and critically review core issues of social development in the province, the role of donor agencies like the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the UNDP, issues relating to agriculture and irrigation, importance of education in economic development, business and investment opportunities, industry and infrastructure, communication and transportation.
The list of speakers includes eminent personalities from various ministries, industrialists, education and social policy developers.
