Internet cafes being misused

By Our Correspondent

PESHAWAR, Sept 28: The number of the Internet cafes in the city is on the increase as thousands visit them, specially teenagers, most of them for chatting and other indecent purposes, a survey conducted by Dawn revealed on Wednesday.

There is no denying the fact that the Internet is the main source of information which has shrunk the entire world into a global village.

Some students visit these cafes to get information on foreign universities and jobs opportunities. But the number of such students is very small.

These cafes are also a blessing for those people who want to develop and maintain relationships with friends and relatives.

But young people, mostly use it for leisure and pleasures of all kinds.

Ironically, in most cases, the owners of these cafes, are fully aware of the misuse of technology, but have chosen to remain silent.

The users are provided such privacy, enough to lead the user in all kinds of temptations.

This cheap and round-the-corner services has become a source of worry for the parents who usually thinks their children go there to enhance their knowledge.

Surprisingly, there is no government check on these unauthorized notorious cafes.
