KARACHI: Six cars 16 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Sept 28: Twenty-two vehicles — six cars and 16 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Saturday, police sources said.

Three cars were hijacked and three others stolen in Saddar, Clifton, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, and North Nazimabad.

Seven motorcycles were hijacked in the central parts of the city, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Jauhar and other areas. Nine others were stolen in Bahadurabad, PECHS, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulberg, and North Karachi, etc.

KILLED: A woman was axed to death and her husband injured in Gulzar-i-Hijri on Saturday.

Police said that four men armed carrying axe forcibly entered the house of Mohammed Gul in Lasi Goth in the police limits of Gulzar-i-Hijri and killed Zar Bibi, aged 28. Her husband was also attacked and he was seriously injured. The armed men kidnapped two children of the couple. Gul was rushed to a hospital where his condition was stated to be serious.
