KARACHI, Sept 28: Prof Abdul Ghafoor, Naib Ameer of the Jamat-i-Islami and leader of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, pledged that the MMA would put an end to injustice, poverty and plunder of public property.

Speaking to a public gathering at Clifton, he said that October 10 would be the beginning of progress and prosperity of the country with the success of the MMA.

Abdul Sattar Afghani, Mufti Nizamuddin and Khwaja Sharful Islam also addressed the occasion. Meanwhile, secretary general JI and candidate from NA-245, Syed Munawwar Hasan, said the MM would rid traders and businessmen of the extortion mafia. “They must display courage and protect their savings and business from falling prey to the evil designs of this mafia, by casting their votes in favor of the candidates of the MMA”, he said while speaking at a corner meeting.

He said that an overwhelming number of traders and businessmen were rendered hostage, which had resulted in the flight of capital from city.
