Damaged rails being repaired


QUETTA, Sept 27: Repair work on the railway track damaged in the accident of Quetta Express on Thursday last was in progress, Pakistan Railways authorities here said.

Quetta Divisional Transportation Officer Mohsin Yousuf told APP that no train operated from Quetta to downcountry on Thursday while no one left on Friday.

There is a single track between Sibi and Sukkur. Therefore, no train could be operated on the track until the repair is completed.

He said bodies of the victims had been taken away from Civil Hospital Sibi by their relatives.
