KCCI polls today

KARACHI, Sept 25: The annual election for the members of the managing committee of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be held on Thursday as per schedule — from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm, and from 3.00 pm to 6.30 pm.
As many as 18 candidates — nine each by the Businessmen Group of Siraj Teli and Electronic Group of Mohammad Irfan — will fight for the nine seats of the managing committee of the KCCI.
The candidates of BMG Siraj Teli are: Mian Nasir Hayat Magoo, Nasir M. Chandna, Abdul Nasir, Mohamamd Kamran, Mohammad Salim Kapadia, Saqib Nasim, Jaffer Kudia, Mohammad Jehangir and Rasheeduddin. The candidates of Irfan Group are: Mohammad Amin, Mohammad Salim, Mohammad Asif Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, Dr Sajid Mehmood, Tahir Mehboob, Mujahid Bashir, Hafiz Mohammad Mehfooz Khan and Mustafa Khan.
The nine candidates will be elected for the term of two years as compared to previous three year.
The election of president, vice president and senior vice president will be held on September 28, while annual general meeting of the KCCI will be held on September 30.
