Dacoit killed in ‘encounter’
FAISALABAD, Sept 24: Chak Jhumra police and Rescue 15 on Monday night shot dead a dacoit and injured his two accomplices in an encounter in Chak 188-RB.
Three bandits barged into the house of Sadiq Jat, but one of the inmates informed the Rescue 15. Along with the Chak Jhumra police, the Rescue 15 rushed to the spot and encircled the house. Fearing their arrest, the bandits opened fire on the police. Constable Faqeer Hussain sustained bullet wounds. The police also returned the fire, killing a dacoit instantly and injuring the two others. Later, the injured dacoits, identified as Yousaf and Abid, were arrested. The dead was identified as Zafar.
