KARACHI: Omer’s death inquiry officer named


KARACHI, Sept 24: The Sindh government has appointed Agha Rafiq Ahmed, District and Sessions Judge, Karachi South, inquiry officer to inquire into the causes of the death of Omer Asghar Khan, a federal minister.

According to the terms of reference, the inquiry officer will ascertain the cause of death, whether it was murder or suicide, and if it was murder, then whether government functionaries were involved or not.

People having any information about this case, and they wish to give evidence, have been advised to submit their antedecedents within a week in the office of DJ Agha Rafiq Ahmed Khan.

The inquiry proceedings will begin on Oct 3 at 10am in the courtroom of the district and sessions judge/inquiry officer. — APP
