HYDERABAD: PML-Q promises farm inputs at subsidized rates

HYDERABAD, Sept 23: A leader of the PML (Q), Azad Bin Haider, has said if his party came into power it will provide agricultural inputs to Haris at subsidized rates and lay a network of small industrial units.
He was speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Monday.
Azad said his party would ensure the supremacy of law, abolish the system of presidential ordinances, ban luxurious receptions and banquets, bring about improvements in jails, strengthen the accountability process and make harassment of the innocent people by the police and agencies punishable under the law.
The PML (Q) will give adequate representation to women in judiciary and defence forces and ban medical treatment abroad.
It will also make sure the president and the prime minister on their visits abroad travelled on commercial flights.
It will eliminate child labour in the country, protect the rights of industrial workers and ensure free education up to matriculation.
The party will reactivate Pakistani embassies and make them responsible to increase the country’s exports.
He said at the diplomatic front, China and OIC countries would be given preference and efforts would be made to develop friendly relations with neighbouring countries.
Talking about the election atmosphere, the PML (Q) leader said the PPP was polluting it by resorting to protest although, he said, the chairperson of the party knew her nomination forms would be rejected under the law.
He accused former prime ministers Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif of looting the national exchequer.
He said inordinate increase in prices of petrol and electricity was the result of agreements signed by Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif.
