Azam, Shahnawaz win

KARACHI, Sept 21: Azam Khan and Shahnawaz Khan notched-up exciting five game victories on the second day of Pre- qualifying round of Chief of the Naval Staff Squash Championship at Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan/Jahangir Khan Squash Complex Saturday.

Punjab’s Azam recovered after dropping the opening game to defeat Shahzaib Khan of Sindh after 75 minutes keen tussle.

Faisal Zaman from NWFP gave testing time to Shahnawaz Khan of Punjab before going down in a marathon five game thriller. Shahnawaz took the opening two frames but Faisal draw level 2-2 by winning the next two game.

But Faisal ran out of steam in decider and taking advantage Shahnawaz wrap-up the match winning the fifth game 15-6.
