KARACHI: Sindh’s interests in NFC award

KARACHI, Sept 21: Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro has asked the team representing Sindh in connection with the NFC Award to work in the interest of Sindh and its people.

At a meeting held in the Governor’s House, the governor issued the team necessary instructions for the next meeting.

He said that during the tenure of the present government and under the leadership of President Pervez Musharraf, not only provincial harmony was promoted, but the provinces also got their rights in a better way.

Mr Soomro referred to the launch of large-scale development activities in Sindh and said problems which lingered for years had been solved and headway was made in connection with stuck up development projects.

He asked the authorities concerned that it would be our misfortune if our province could not get its due rights during the existing conducive environment.

Appreciating the performance of the provincial committee for the finance award, he expressed the hope that in future it would represent the province in a better way.—APP
