One killed, 5 injured in accident

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 19: One person was killed and five others were injured in a road accident on the Moro Bypass on Thursday morning.

A Kandhkot-bound coach (KAR-5221), while overtaking another vehicle, plunged into a ditch.

Mohammad Ibrahim Bilalani was killed and Ali Mohammad, Arz Mohammad, Haji Mitho, Mohammad Ismail and Manzoor Bajkani were injured in the accident.

The injured were taken to the Moro Taluka Hospital where Ali Mohammad and Haji Mitho were referred to the People’s Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah.

The body was sent to Kandhkot.

The Moro police lodged an FIR.

JOINED: An activist of the PPP, Malik Mohammad Naseem Arain, along with seven others, joined the National People’s Party (NPP) here on Thursday.

Arain announced this at a meeting at Darya Khan Mari.

HUNGER STRIKE: A large number of activists of different political parties observed a token hunger strike on Thursday against the construction of the Thal Canal and the artificial shortage of water in Moro.

The activists of the Awami Tehrik, JSQM, STPP, PPP, PML (N) and the NPP participated in the strike.

KILLED: One person was killed and another was injured in a clash over a dispute of stocking bricks in Raheem Chand village near Moro on Wednesday evening.

Mohammad Idris, 32, was killed and his maternal uncle, Lal Mohammad, was injured in the clash.

The injured was admitted to the Moro Taluka Hospital.
