HYDERABAD, Sept 19: The police have arrested three armed gangsters following two robbery incidents here on Wednesday night.

They recovered weapons, looted cash and goods from their possession.

Two bandits trespassed into the house of Allauddin Ansari, a former officer of ADBP, in Sindhi Muslim Housing Society and held inmates hostages at gunpoint late Wednesday night.

They looted jewellery, cash and other items and took them away in Ansari’s car (ACV-437).

Ansari called the police control for help. A Cantonment police party, which was on night patrolling, received the message and chased the bandits up to Jamshoro, near the Kiran Shoro village.

Because of its breakneck speed, the bandits could not control the car which overturned. They tried to escape form the spot but surrendered when police fired in air to frighten them.

The arrested bandits were identified as Munawwar Solangi, resident of Dadu, and Aftab Rajput, resident of Landhi, Karachi.

A pistol and a dagger were recovered from their possession.

In another incident, four robbers intercepted a trader, Javed Ali Soomro, in the jurisdiction of the Market police.

The bandits snatched Rs55,000 from him and fled in their car (ABK-829).

Following information, a party of the Market police chased the bandits and arrested them near Tandojam.
