FPSC refuses to comply with LHC orders

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: The Federal Public Services Commission (FPSC) has refused to comply with the orders of the Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi bench, prompting the appellant for the third time to move the court for contempt of court proceedings against the commission.

The LHC, here on Wednesday, accepted the petition, once again for the initiation of contempt proceedings against the FPSC with regard to the non-compliance of its orders by the commission.

The petitioner, Asad Ali Chaudhry, in his petition, has prayed to the court to take action against the respondents (FPSC chairman and party), who by showing complete defiance to the orders of the court have exposed themselves to be dealt with severely under relevant provisions of law.
