Girl injured in acid attack
VEHARI, Sept 17: A girl received serious burn injuries on Monday when two vagabonds threw acid on her at Mailsi.
Allah Bukhsh Arain and Maulvi Javed of Mauza Khanpur have been teasing Gulzaran Bibi (20), daughter of labourer Pir Bukhsh, for some time. Feeling insecure, the girl informed her relatives about her ordeal. The accused fell in a rage when they came to know about the situation. They allegedly threw acid on her face when she was offering Fajr prayers. She sustained seriously burn injuries. She was rushed to the THQ Hospital, Mailsi, from where she was shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan.
Talking to Dawn, Mailsi Saddar SHO Qazi Basit said the police had arrested the accused and registered a case against them.
