KARACHI, Sept 17: The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation on Tuesday announced an “agriculture support package” for payment of electricity bills, in consultation with the drought-hit small farmers of Malir and Gadap.

This was announced by KESC Managing Director Brig. Tariq Saddozai at an Open Kachery at Yousuf Bagh, Gadap near Toll Plaza.

The KESC MD held meetings with the local farmers to understand their difficulties in making payment for the utility services in the city suburb on the invitation of Chairman, Malir Abadgar Cooperative Society Rasool Bukhsh Baloch and Gadap Town Nazim Murtaza Baloch.

The total KESC arrears against 1,415 agricultural consumers of the area have accumulated to Rs 290 million.—APP
