Candidates list issued

SHIKARPUR, Sept 15: The final list of candidates for the two national and four provincial assemblies seats of Shikarpur district was announced by returning officers concerned on Sunday.

The candidates were also allotted their election symbols.

According to the list, Aftab Shahban Mirani (PPP), Akbar Khan Jatoi and Aftab Ahmad Channa (MQM), Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Jatoi (NA) and Naseer Ahmad Lodhi (independent) will contest for NA-202, Shikarpur-I.

For NA-203, Shikarpur-II, Agha Arsalan (PPP), Ghulam Akbar Jatoi (MQM), Ghous Bux Khan Mahar (PML-Q) and Agha Rafiuddin (independent) are in the field.

Agha Siraj Khan (PPP), Aslam Mir Thaheem (MQM), Zulfiqar Ali Kamariyo (PML-Q), Syed Hassan Mohammad Shah (NA) and Agha Rafiuddin Pathan (independent) are contesting for PS-9, Shikarpur-I.

Agha Arsalan Khan (PPP), Ghous Bux Khan Mahar (PML-Q) and Agha Imran Khan Pathan and Qalandar Bux Mahar (independent) are candidates for PS-10 (Shikarpur-II),

For PS-11, Shikarpur-III, Agha Tariq Khan (PPP), Aftab Ahmad Channa (MQM), Ahsan Ali Abro (PML-F), Faiz Ahmad Qazi (PPP-SB), Imtiaz Ahmad alias Tariq Shaikh (SDA), Maulvi Abdul Qadir Panhwar (MMA) and independent candidates, Aslam Mir Thaheem, Agha Taimoor Ahmad, Agha Salahuddin Khan, Javed Ali Mithani, Mohammad Azeem Borhi, Mohammad Younus Mughal and Hot Khan Khoso have been cleared.

Junaid Ahmad Soomro (PPP), Alluddin (MMA), Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Jatoi (NA) and independent candidates, Ussaid Ahmad Soomro, Irsahd Ahmad and Imam Bux, will contest for PS-12, Shikarpur-IV.

PAPERS WITHDRAWN: Three candidates for NA-203, Shikarpur-II, Syed Taj Mohammad Shah Amroti, Zulfiqar Ali Kamaryo and Qalandar Bux Mahar, withdrew their nominations.
