ISLAMABAD, Sept 14: Pakistan Navy is playing its due role in the promotion of quality education in the country by opening schools and colleges, not only in big cities but also in small towns and far-flung areas, said Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Abdul Aziz Mirza.

“I am sure that college in Kahuta will go a long way in serving this noble cause,” he said while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Bahria Foundation College, Kahuta Campus, on Saturday.

He said our younger generation had a lot of talent and potential in them. Only right sense of direction was required and they were capable of performing miracles.

He urged the teaching staff to set personal examples by remaining morally upright and steadfast in the best traditions of religion, culture and traditional values.

“It is your prime duty to groom our youth to become good human beings and guide them to be respectful to their parents, elders and kind to youngsters,” he added.

Admiral Mirza congratulated the college administration for successfully establishing a good and well-equipped campus at Kahuta and also appreciated the assistance provided by the local administration in this regard.

Later, chief of the naval staff formally inaugurated the new campus of the college. He also took round of the college and visited it’s various sections.

Earlier, Captain Basharat, Principal Bahria Foundation College, Kahuta, in his welcome address highlighted the salient features of the college.

He said the college campus was equipped with latest computer laboratories, well-stocked library, modern teaching aids and had well-educated and well-trained teachers.

The ceremony was attended by senior naval officers, principals and educationists of renowned institutions of twin cities and prominent figures of the area. —APP
