Chief secy’s daughter returns ticket

LAHORE, Sept 13: The Punjab chief secretary’s daughter, Momina, has returned the ticket she had been given by the PML-QA for a special seat in view of the criticism of her father by various quarters.

According to a press release, she said her family had a political background and she had been given ticket on merit. But, now she would not contest the election.

The chief secretary’s brother is also contesting the election from the PML-QA’s platform.

Meanwhile, Sahibzada Muhammad Mahboob Sultan, son of former senator Sultan Abdul Hameed, and Najf Abbas Khan Sial have joined the PML-QA, reposing confidence in the leadership of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
