PPP leader foresees MMA split

By Our Correspondent

PESHAWAR, Sept 12: A former interior minister, Naseerullah Khan Babar has said that religious parties have always sided with dictators and never helped democracy to flourish.

Speaking at the Meet the Press programme at the Nowshera Press Club on Wednesday, Mr Babar hoped that PPP with the help of the PML-N would introduce a two-party system to run the government.

Mr Babar, who is a PPP candidate for NA-5 and NA-6 Nowshera-I and II, said that the religious parties’ alliance would not last long.

He accused the government of creating a fake opposition in the shape of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal to camouflage the real opposition forces.
