Boy drowns in MC pond

SUKKUR, Sept 10: A boy, Asad Magsi, resident of the Microwave Colony, Sukkur, was drowned in the Sukkur Municipal Water Works pond on Monday evening.

The boy had gone there to fetch water from the pond and lost his balance while taking out a bucket full of water and fell into the pond.

He died before any one could rescue him.

The tragedy occurred because in many parts of the city the Municipal Corporation had failed to supply water through its connections and the people of the areas had to go to the ponds to fetch water.

BANDITS: Bandits looted cash worth Rs150,000 from the accountant of a local flour mill on Monday. He was on his way to his house from the mill when three armed dacoits snatched the bag containing the money.
