KARACHI, Sept 10: A three-year-old boy was run over by a water tanker in Gulzar-i-Hijri on Tuesday.

Police said Bashir, aged three, died when he came under the rear wheels of a water tanker in Qayyumabad, an Afghan locality in Gulzar-i-Hijri.

The boy died on the spot. His body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed for postmortem.

Police claimed to have arrested the water tanker driver, Ali Khan, and impounded the vehicle.
