KARACHI: Varsity closed till 14th

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Sept 10: The crisis-hit administration of Karachi University has ordered suspension of teaching activities for another three days, i.e. Sept 12, 13 and 14.

The administration block will also remain closed for public dealings on these days.

However, classes in the evening programme would continue as usual, and examinations would be held according to schedule.

The university administration had earlier ordered suspension of classes on Sept 9 and 10 after Saturday’s ugly incident. On Tuesday, too, campus wore a deserted look as students were not allowed entry, while teachers organized meetings to press for the acceptance of their demands.

The University of Karachi and its affiliated colleges will remain closed on Sept 11 on account of the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

The schedule of examinations of Karachi University, if any, will remain unchanged.

However, the Main and the City campus of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, will remain open on Sept 11 and the classes will be held as usual according to schedule.
