KARACHI: Special security for tomorrow


KARACHI, Sept 9: The Sindh police have drawn up a special security plan to face any eventuality on the first anniversary of terrorist attack in New York and Washington on September 11 last year.

IG Syed Kamal Shah ordered the Karachi police to adopt extraordinary precautionary measures, intensify patrolling and increase the number of policemen in plain clothes.

He also ordered to increase the frequency of snap check of vehicles and to use sniffer dogs to conduct checking at sensitive installations and buildings.

He said public places such as shopping centres, recreation places, parks and parking areas, etc should have secret video cameras. — APP
