Verification of Madaris degrees sought
QUETTA, Sept 8: Election tribunal of Balochistan, comprising Justice Amanullah Yasinzai and Justice Fazalur Rehman, has issued notice to the University Grants Commission to verify before the tribunal the degrees of Madaris submitted by candidates.
The tribunal issued the notice on applications filed by Nawab Aslam Raisani, Haji Metha Khan and other candidates challenging the Madaris’ degrees submitted by various candidates with their nomination papers. They pleaded that the degrees were fake while some other appellants said that degrees of Madaris were not equivalent to graduations.
