EDO asked to cancel deputation orders
LARKANA, Sept 7: The district Nazim, Larkana, Khursheed Ahmed Junejo, has asked the Executive District Officer (EDO), Education, to revert all deputation orders in the district, an official said on Saturday.
He has also asked him to explain, within three days, why he had transferred 12 teachers without assigning any reason whatsoever, adding that these transfers violate the orders of the district Nazim as well as a unanimous resolution passed by the Larkana district council.
Amir Bakhsh Gaad, a member of the education sub-committee, while talking to Dawn said that the teachers, who had been transferred are Qamaruddin Qazi, Rabnawaz, Mumtaz Ali, Saboor Ahmed Kalhoro, Saeed Ahmed Naich, Amir Ali Depar, Ms Ghulam Sakina, Ms Tahira Parveen, Ms Khalida Parveen, Nek Muhammed Tunio, Ghulam Perwar and Liaquat Ali Tunio.
The EDO (Education), Shahnawaz Memon, has disputed the claim.
Meanwhile, Gaad alleged that the EDO (Education) had made around 200 transfers, while terming the same as deputations. He said that most of them were either supervisors or resource persons. He said that this would drastically affect the quality of education as the transferred teachers were being deputed in schools, which were already over-staffed.
12 ARRESTED: The Larkana police claimed to have arrested twelve criminals the other day who a fortnight ago had killed two police constables in the jurisdiction of Ratodero.
The district police officer (DPO), Investigation, Inayatullah Soomro, told newsmen on Wednesday that about 15 days back two policemen, Imdad Ali Supiro and Khair Mohammad Supiro, had been killed while performing their duty.
So the police were on the lookout of the criminals, and on Wednesday were finally able to arrest them.
They have been identified as Murad, Pathan, Chackar, Habib, Ghulam Hussain, Bachal, Hazaro, Abdul Karim, Ali Sher (all Jatois), Rustam Shar, Wazeer Shar, and Irshad Supiro.
Police have recovered a G-3 rifle, which had been stolen from the policemen killed, and five single-barrel guns from their possession, said the DPO.
He further said that all the arrested criminals were being kept at the Ratodero police station.
He said that seven more culprits involved in the crime needed to be arrested.
PPP: PPP activists protesting against the rejection of the nomination papers of the chairperson of the PPP, Ms Benazir Bhutto, observed hunger strike near the Kehar house on Wednesday.
Ghulam Abbas, Kehar city, information secretary, PPP, Larkana, told this correspondent that the hunger strike would continue for three days.
Protesting against the same issue, PPP workers blocked the Indus Highway near the Roohal Khan Bugti village on the outskirts of Larkana.
BODY: The Quboo Saeed Khan Police on Wednesday recovered the body of a woman from the Lundi regulator.
The villagers spotted the body floating in the Lundi regulator.
When the police recovered the body it was found that both her legs had been chopped off.
